The Simple Plan of Salvation
Am I going to heaven?God says in the Bible that in order to go to heaven you must be born again or "saved" (John 3:7)

Why must I be saved?God created man perfect, but Adam, the first man, sinned. As result, all of his descendants are sinners by nature as well as by choice. Sin is any word, thought, or deed that comes short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).

The punishment, or wages, for sin is death (Romans 6:23) or eternal separation from God. This means that of our own merit, we dont deserve heaven, we deserve eternal separation from God in hell.

"It is appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judgment." Hebrews 9:27 We each get one chance to live, and then we all will die. What happens to you after death will depend on whether you were saved from your sinful nature.

How do I get saved? The Apostle Paul answered this question with the statement "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." Acts 16:31.

Jesus Christ is Gods son. He took on the form of a man so that He could die on the cross and pay the penalty for our sindeath. But Jesus did not stay dead (I Corinthians 15:3-4). Jesus conquered death and sin when He rose again on the third day.

When we place our hope of heaven in Christs payment for sin, we become saved. John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotton son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." This means that if we believe in Him, we are both saved from hell and sent to heaven.

God was willing to send His son because of His love for us. (Romans 5:8) The best way to show our love to Him in return is to accept his Son, Jesus, as our Savior from sin. You can do this through a simple prayer acknowledging that you are a sinner and that the only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ.

What if I still have questions? You can find out more about God and His plan for you by reading His Word (the Bible) attending His church, or talking to His children. Please feel free to contact our church.
