What we're all about
Great Bay Academy of Dance (GBAD) is the Seacoast's Non-Competition Dance Education Center. Our focus is on providing excellence in dance education and enriching performance opportunities that help our dancers to develop confidence, stage presence, artistry and skills that exist beyond our students' lives at GBAD.

We offer our students the finest in studio facilities and an outstanding professionally trained faculty with a teaching style that brings out the creativity and individuality in young artists. Learn more >

Performances

Great Bay Academy of Dance produces numerous shows throughout the year, of which some benefit local charities. GBAD participants are encouraged to participate in each show, however participation is not mandatory. GBAD presents well-known and original works by innovative choreographers and a varied repertoire including classical ballet, contemporary and modern works.

For the 2009 / 2010 School Year, GBAD participants were offered opportunities to participate in "An 1836 Portsmouth Nutcracker", "In Vino Valentine", "Sleeping Beauty" as well as a GBAD Culmination Performance. Learn More >

Great Bay Academy of Dance operates on a trimester schedule, September-June of each calendar year. Learn More >

Without the pressures of academic school, students can give more attention to and make great improvement in technique in a short period of concentrated study. Learn More >

Great Bay Academy of Dance's newly renovated 4500 SF handicap accessible facility is conveniently located close to downtown Portsmouth, NH. GBAD studios can be rented for a variety of uses including special events, parties, business meetings, exhibitions, artistic or athletic uses. Learn More >
