Kevin Fredette is a NH State Certified Arborist (License #350), from a family well-known throughout Southern New Hampshire as tree experts.
In 1984, Kevin established "Fredette’s Stump Grinding Service" with little more than a chainsaw, a few ropes and an old Ford station wagon. Officially renamed, Gate City Tree Service has since grown into a full-service, family-run tree care business. We have over 20 years of experience, and offer our customers the safest, most efficient tree care in the greater Nashua area. Following the infamous ice storm in Dec. 2008, we had a handful of trees in our yard which were severely damaged as well as a number of trees which posed very serious dangers to our house. There was no way around it, approximately 30 trees needed to be removed.
After having a few tree removal companies give me estimates, Mr. Fredette not only gave me the best price but he also gave me a full overview of the equipment they would use and the process for removal of these trees. He made my decision to go with Gate City Tree Service a "no brainer". "Prompt" and "thorough" are the first 2 words that come to mind with regards his approach to estimating the job.
During the tree removal, Kevin, Cas, Ron, and the rest of the crew were impressive to say the least! After observing them work for a while, it was very obvious that these guys had worked together for a long time. Not only were they good at removing trees, but they were the most courteous crew I have ever had do work at/on my house. Respect for my property and the safety procedures they exhibited while working also meant alot to me. They had surpassed my (very high) expectations in a big way.

The Certification Exam includes the following disciplines: Tree Identification; Insect and Disease Identification and Life Cycles; Tree Function and Biology; General Practices and Procedures of Arboriculture; Soil structure, Function and Biology and Aboricultural safety.
