Glen Boisvert of Kelley Street Garage, 339 Kelley St. in Manchester, 622-7893, www.kelleystreetgarage.com. Glen is the third generation of Boisverts to own Kelley Street Garage, according to the shop's Web site. It was founded by Albert Boisvert (Glen's grandfather) in 1931.
"We're honest. We don't do work that's not needed. If it's something that needs to be done in a couple of months, we'll let the customer know. That's why people come to me, because I'm fair and honest," Boisvert said. "That's what I think." The shop has been in the family for the past 75 years and under Boisvert's ownership the past nine years. He's worked at the shop since he was 13, taking only a few years off for additional education. He enjoys the challenges of newer vehicles. "It takes more brains than it did 20 or 30 years ago," he said. But he doesn't expect either one of his two daughters to take over the shop when they get older. "They have no interest whatsoever," he said.
