Pease Golf Course is always a great experience, no matter what your handicap, with a 27-hole championship layout that is visually stimulating and naturally diverse.
Originally opened in 1901 as the original Portsmouth Country Club, the course was designed by renowned Scottish golf course architect Alexander Findlay, the father of more than 100 courses across the country. The U.S. Air Force acquired the land in 1956 when Pease Air Force Base was built and it became a military course. When Pease AFB in 1991 closed, the course was turned over to the State of New Hampshire and run by the Pease Development Authority. Since then, Pease Golf Course has undergone many improvements to become one of the premier public courses in northern New England.
