Wheaton Physical Therapy and Myofascial Release is an integrated physical therapy and massage practice offering an intelligent hands on approach to facilitate a person to find the path to health and well being.
Wheaton Physical Therapy, Myofascial Release and Massage was founded in 1990 by Christine Wheaton. As a licensed physical therapist of 35 years, a licensed massage therapist and Native American Healer, she offers an integrated, hands-on approach to orthopedic, spinal, extremity, TMJ and autoimmune dysfunctions by combining experience and skill in Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki, Manual Therapy and Massage.
The combination of Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy addresses treatment to the entire nervous and musculoskeletal systems by balancing the craniosacral rhythm and releasing restrictions which place tension on the body and create inflammation and pain. Spinal, neurologic and/or orthopedic conditions are treated with this total body approach for long term benefit. Myofascial Pain Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and arthritis are particularly receptive. In cases where boosting the immune system and providing energy to a client is essential; for example, someone undergoing chemotherapy or a person who is experiencing a deteriorating conditon such as Multiple Sclerosis or Chronic Fatigue, the combination of Craniosacral Therapy with Reiki has been found to be very beneficial.
Traditional physical therapy modalities for pain, exercises and functional training are also incorporated in a client's program. The need for quality care and individual attention is valued and Ms. Wheaton is able to respond to a person's needs on many levels.
Wheaton Myofascial Release is a teaching facility, offering courses for professionals integrating Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy and anatomy and biomechanics. Ms. Wheaton is an NCBTMB Category A Provider for CEUS.

I have taken many Continuing Education Classes, but none have helped me help my clients like Christine's classes have. Integrating Craniosacral and Myofascial Release techniques into my sessions has been of great benefit to my clients and my practice. Chris' hands on teaching methods, and intuitive abilities help her students learn to "feel" restrictions in an amazing way.
