Welcome to Amherst Christian Church Website
"The Church Without Walls-Networking Christ to the Community and the World"
Greetings! We're glad to have you browsing our site to check us out. We hope you won't stop with this page. This welcome note includes our vision as well as our invitation for you to participate with us.
We are an open community of believers living out our lives together in the love and service of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Our primary goal is to establish every individual to mature in faith. We place a strong emphasis on relationships, beginning with a personal relationship with our heavenly Father through Jesus Christ. We believe that the key to a victorious Christian life begins and continues with our relationship with God and radiates to our sphere of influence. We believe in building biblical relationships that are manifested in authentic Christian fellowship, first with members of the local body of believers and secondly with like-minded members of the community of faith.
As you continue through our web site we hope you will find areas of interest that may meet your or your family's personal needs. We invite you to participate in any of our relational skills courses. We would particularly like to draw your attention to our equipping groups, which are offered with goals of personal growth, strengthening families and developing relationships that will be fruitful in advancing the Kingdom of God.
As you browse our site, consider that the purpose of God in history is the creation of an all-inclusive community of loving persons, with God Himself at the center of this community as its prime Sustainer and most glorious Inhabitant (Ephesians 2:19-22; 3:10). The Bible traces the formation of this community from the creation in the Garden of Eden all the way to the new heaven and new earth.
It is for this purpose that we join together with those of like faith and mind to follow the Lord fully and carry out the "Great Commission".
It is because we believe that we should support our church with our prayers, encouragement and participation through the use of our God-given gifts, skills and talents, with the understanding that we serve God by serving others, that our church is transforming to a discipleship model following the pattern set by our Lord. We would invite you to be part of that transformation as we grow together to more perfectly reflect Christ and reach out to make a difference for the Kingdom of God. Please refer to our calendar for activity and training dates and time.
